Welcome to Read 180. I'm so excited to be a part of HHS this year. I have previously taught at the Pre-K and Elementary levels, most recently teaching first grade at Stewart Elementary. This year I will be helping students at the high school level to improve reading and writing skills using the Read 180 Universal curriculum, an exciting and innovative program that combines teacher guided lessons with computer modules and independent reading.
I received my bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University in Early Childhood Education, and received my master's degree in Reading Education from Concordia University Chicago. I live in The Woodlands with my two children. I have taught in Illinois and Texas since 2006. I LOVE teaching kids to read and look forward to working with my students and their families to ensure a year of academic success!
