Spanish 2/PreAP 2 Teacher

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! My name is Ruby Zamudio. I was born and raised here in Huntsville, Texas and I graduated from HHS in 2008. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in both Spanish and Family and Consumer Science in 2013 from Sam Houston State University.
Growing up, Spanish was the only language spoken in my household. Having left their country in search for a better life for our family, my parents still wanted to make sure to pass on their culture, language, and customs onto my siblings and I. Thanks to them, I have a profound love for not only my first language, but for every aspect of every culture. The diversity found just here in Huntsville is beautiful and I hope to share my love and passion for this through my class and teach my students how beneficial it can be to acquire a new language in today's world.
I look forward to a great year with you and your son/daughter.
