2nd Semester Begins on Wednesday, January 20, 2016

Students are asked to report to the small gym to pick up their official 2nd semester schedule. Personnel will be available to assist students beginning at 7:15 am. Students will not be allowed to enter classes without their official 2nd semester schedule even if they were in the same class for the 1st semester.

HISD Christmas Break: December 21, 2015 - January 1, 2016

HISD will be CLOSED district-wide Monday through Friday, December 21-January 1 for the Christmas Holiday Break.
All Huntsville ISD campuses and facilities will be CLOSED from Monday, December 21st through Friday, January 1st in observance of the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Please be sure your calendars reflect this scheduled district-wide closure.

Normal operating hours and classes will resume on Monday, January 4, 2016.

HHS will dismiss at 1:30 pm on Friday, December 18, 2015

Huntsville ISD campuses will have a 2-Hour Early Release for the Christmas holiday break on Friday, December 18. Students will be dismissed 2 hours earlier than their normal campus release times.

All bus drop-off times will also be 2 hours earlier than normal. Please make this necessary calendar adjustment.

The HHS PBIS Team Hosts "Hornet Hysteria 2015"

Hornet Hysteria will be held on Friday, December 18th during the school day from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. 

Hornet Hysteria is a competition between the four grade levels. Student admission is $2, and the winning grade level will receive the admission monies raised for their class account (to be used at their discretion and with their class sponsor’s/principal’s approval). 

Students must meet certain criteria in order to attend the event: students must not have more than 9 tardies, 3 unexcused absences, and 3 referrals during the second and third six-weeks.  Students must also have passed all classes for the second six weeks. 

Points will be tallied for games such as dodgeball, beanbag toss, trashketball, volleyball, talent competition, roping, pie eating, wheelbarrow racing, freethrows, 3-legged races, minecraft buildoff, a food drive, egg relay, washers, battle of the brains and many more.

HHS Theatre Presents "Rex's Exes" on Thursday, Friday and Saturday: December 10, 11, 12

If you loved "Red Velvet Cake War" presented by the HHS Theatre department two years ago, "Rex's Exes" is the play to see!

A southern-fried comedy, "Rex's Exes" finds the Verdeen cousins of Sweetgum, Texas - Gaynelle who is getting ready to turn the big 5-0, Peaches the sassy morturarial cosmetologist, and Jimmie who owns the wedding gown boutique - teetering on the brink of yet another disaster.

Shows are 7:30 pm nightly. Tickets are $4 in advance and $6 at the door.
